Well my goal of blogging more obviously didn't happen. Maybe we can try it again. We have had a lot happen over the last year. New Baby, New Job, New Activities. Tons of fun.

Right now we are getting ready for our 2 week trip to Idaho!! Cassia County Fair here I come. I love our hometown celebrations. I cant wait. The kids are talking about Carnival and horses and Gubba on the tractor. Yeah it might be weird but they love it! ALso my 10 Year class reunion. Im very excited to some of my old friends again.

Why did I get the bad ears in the family. I went to a ENT (ears, nose, throat) Specialist yesterday. My hearing in my left ear is bad again. We have known it for some time but I have drug my feet getting it looked at. I can give all the excuses but you don't need to know them. Anyway the ENT flat out said I wont do surgery. Because I have had so many surgeries the likleyhood that it would work for very long is slim. She want to do a hearing aid trial. And a sleep study to see why I don't wake up to my kids. My hearing is good enough that I should hear them on my right side. Anyway. I guess the first step is a cat scan. The ENT wants to make sure my chlestiatoma is not back. If it is then surgery is necessary. If not then we will start the hearing aids. Just not what i was hoping for. Then do I just live with what i have or fork out the money for a hearing aid?????

As my wise husband said, you cant worry about anything until after the cat scan anyway. So dont freak out yet. So im gonna try not to freak.

Peanut Butter Kids

Would you ever guess that these two are the same age? I have a picture of Thomas the same age playing in peanut butter also. I just cant find it. I have looked on all my drives but it must have been with some of the stuff I lost a few years ago. Anyway, I remember one of their Aunties that loved peanut butter and somewhere there is a photo of her too!!!

The Nativity

I guess I should tell you what happened with the nativity.
I don't know what happened with Wayne if he forgot or was looking around here for one but a few days before my Dad was to arive he talked with Wayne and asked him what I wanted for Christmas.Of course he told him the nativity. So As my dad was driving from Idaho to Washington and to Canada he would stop every Chance he could to look for one. He wasn't having any luck. His last night in Montana He was in Kalispell. He saw this little antique shop and Stopped and what did he find. A German nativity carousel. It was missing Baby Jesus but when my Daddy brought it out and showed me I just bawled. It will forever be my favorite Nativity.

I was looking on the internet for a place to find a replacement Jesus but I found on Ebay that they had the Carousels. So I looked at a few and we won one for $10 it said it needed some work but I was happy that my husband said get it. I didn't need to be told twice. Man it needed a lot more work then the ad said but that is ok. I am very happy to have the one from my Husband.

You know how Ebay will send emails saying here is a similar item. Normally I Ignore them. However, I looked at this email and It was a Carousel. It was the same one that I grew up with. I thought no its ok. I have enough I will be able to find it again. The price was ok but I was afraid it might go up. and there was a few days left on the auction. Well the night the action clossed wayne and I were hang'n out and I happened to check the auction and the price had stayed the same. Once again my wonderful Husband said get it.

Well I thought my colection was complete for the year. A good friend of mine come to my house when these 3 were set up and said oh i got an email about one of those. Its 50% off now. This was the one I had seen in the Cateloge. Oh ok I thought. About 2 weeks later I looked for fun I thought that would be a great gift for someone next year. I looked and it was 90% off. I couldn't resist so I have my 2010 addition to my collection. This is the one that I wanted to start my collection with.

I am so grateful that my daddy started my collection for me. It was a little crazy to have it grow so fast but I am very happy to have this collection and I hope that it can Grow.

Life

There are times in our lives when we have to take a step back and reevaluate our perspectives. Now my life is great I have a wonderful Husband who makes sure we are taken care of. I have 3 beautiful children that teach me everyday. They love talking to aunties and grandma and all my family in Idaho. I have pushed that. I want my kids to know my family. Why because family is everything to me. This is where my perspective has been off a bit. The last 2 years have been struggle after struggle after struggle. For my Idaho family and hear in Canada. I was so worried about my family and wanting my family in Idaho that I let my own family down.

This past August my husband and I sat down and decided what was important for us. What things do we need to change. First of all i obviously miss my family and being with them. Well so we started webcamming more. on Birthday and little things. I sent them pakages at Holidays. This has helped a million. Then we had to decide what to make our family better.

Our Ward was challenged to read the Book of Mormon by the end of the year. So we did it. We finished on Christmas Day. With 3 kids 4 and under. That is a big deal for me. The boys were reminding Wayne and I that it was scripture time. I think it is awesome and we chose to continue our reading and picked D & C this year.

The Other big thing was deciding What each of our families did that we wanted to bring into our family. What traditions and things. This is where life gets hard again. First we decided that Birthdays are Important! We are going to have the best Birthdays we can have. Special days Make sure each of the children know that there birthday is Important to us. Thanksgiving and Christmas are big celebrations for my family. We get together and play cards. Eat grandmas wonderful food. Well in Canada Thanksgiving is in October. I always said I will never cook Dinner for Canadian Thanksgiving. Its not my Holiday it is Wayne's If he wants to celebrate it is up to him. Well this year we were in Edmonton for a Family Wedding and then Thanksgiving Dinner the next day. So This year was easy. Well then American Thanksgiving rolled around and all I wanted was grandmas Turkey n noodles over mashed potatoes and Raspberry cream pie. So We will now celebrate Canadian Thanksgiving in October and American Thanksgiving in Nov. With the best of the Holiday. We watched 4 Thanksgiving day parades and ate Turkey n noodle. and Runny cream pie. Maybe next year Ill get that right.

Then Comes Christmas. A very trying year this past year. As Christmas approached We had to decide what we wanted. Dad was coming up around the 12th and mom, Pug, Gubba, AK and Candice were coming the 22-1 ish. No real set dates. What were the things I wanted to have for my Christmas??? Well the kids have to open a present on Christmas eve. Christmas morning breakfast was Aunt Vonda's pull apart. We've had that off and all since I was little. The one thing that I really remember about Christmas when I was little was Dad's Nativity. That is how I remembered it. We would sit and wait for dad to set it up and get it out and light it and I knew that I really wanted one for my Decoration Collection. Well I saw one in a catalog and told Wayne Hopeing he would get the hint through all the tears as I was telling him the story and Showing him the picture.

So What does all this rambling mean?? Memories last for eternity. We each grow up with certain things we want to continue in our lives. And we learn things we don't want to repeat. Its not bad it just life. We have to make our homes as happy as we possibly can. If you love to read the scripture your children will learn to love reading the scriptures. I think by the 3rd Parade my kids were done. But I loved watching the parades. Maybe they will love them in the future. I dont Know but my kids will know that Traditions are important to me. Can I ask for anything else? Will my kids carry them to there Families I don't know but I am going to make my home the happiest it can be.

Sick Days

Trains, Trains, Trains!

On Craig's last day here we asked the boys what they wanted to do with gubba. They wanted a train track so... Craig set to work with the boys. This was the outcome. I think it was the biggest track and most detailed one we have ever made. It was so good that two trains were running. The boys just sat and watched until 2 dogs and Faylee got loose. they had a blast.

Play Dough

This is the best play dough recipee.

1 C Flour
1 TB Oil
1 Pkg. Kool-aid
1/4 C Salt
2 TB Cream o Tartar
1 C Water

Mix Dry in pot add water & Oil. Stir over Medium heat 3-5 Min. when it forms a ball remove knead until smooth.

We made this for Family Home Evening. It was a blast.

SCHOOL DAYS

Thomas is so excited for school he wants to leave as soon as he wakes up in the morning. The only problem is school starts at 12:35. I have to keep him bussy or he asks if it is time to leave 100 times a day. I am so glad that he loves school. Thor not so much. The first 2 days he cried for 2 hours. Wheres my Th0mas I want my Thomas. I am happy that he loves his brother.

Candice didn't want to miss Faylees party so we celebrated when dad came to take her home. I was happy to have someone from my family there to celebrate. anyway it was great. I had a friend of mine make the cake. It was pink and princessy the boys had fun helping. They had big ideas on decorations.

Magrath

Here's a bit about our little town. This is where Wayne graduated so there are many people who know him. It is nice to be near waynes parents. The boys just love to go visit as much as possible. Thomas i think would live there if I or grandma would let him. Anyway. We can ride our bike everywhere and it is a blast. We have a library, pool, and ice rink. There is a store and pharmacy and doctor. so we are realy moving up in the world. :) We really have missed our splash park from penhold this summer. We do have the best soft serve ice cream though. and they have something called snow bobs it is soft serve ice cream with slush over it. I know its weird but I love it.

This summer has been a bit crazy. I'm glad candice was here but happy to finally have my office. Now I can do more with my scapbooking and use my computer more.

We went to the zoo lots, went to Idaho for a week and camping. It has been fun.

We are in our new place. The boys have great new friends and they are very excited. I will put pictures up soon. Candice is having a blast and the boys love having her around. Faylee is crawling. There is a list a mile long. I will have more time to write soon.

Wow I can't believe that it has been so long since I have blogged. We have been going crazy here. Well Wayne got laid off. We are trying to decide what to do. Should Wayne go to school? Should he find a job... It is all craziness. We went to a job fair on Wednesday and Wayne put out 17 resumes. It was nice to see what was out there. He got a call back today he has an interview on the 6th for a place with adults in a group home it is a 48 hr shift every other week end. it would give him time for another job also. Ok Faylee is waking up so I better run!

So... The boys (and Faylee) got a hamster. They have wanted a pet for a while. We looked at turtles and then dogs and then settled on a hamster. I thought that ok we had them when I was little so why not. Man, now i remember why i didn't like them. Not really but the ones we had when i was little always bit me and now Furry always bites me. Not always I think twice. But the kids love him.

I have no idea what to say. Except here is the story. I got Faylee some new headbands. Thomas was putting them on her all evening. At 9:30 he decided that headbands were for boys too. I couldn't convince him otherwise.

It has been a long hall with my hand and it is not finished yet. I start therapy this week. I am hoping that all I have to do is go once and then have home exercises. I just need some strengthening exercises my hand gets tired at the end of the day depending on how much I use it. I can't believe that doing the dishes can cause so much trouble.

The worst long lasting effect has been Thomas' potty training. With so many new people in the house he didn't like all the people helping. I think that is even turning around. He had no accidents today. I am so exited!

Thor wants to be potty trained also. He tries for about half the day. Then he doesn't want to anymore. I think that he will come around he sees the rewards that Thomas gets and wants them. Tomorrow is another day we will see how it goes.

Total Mom Moment

After Sunday Dinner with the missionaries we were talking and Faylee put my finger in her mouth and there it was. A tooth! I stared yelling Wayne!, Wayne! guess what! guess what! She has tooth! She has a tooth! Yes just like that. The missionaries are really great. They laughed at me but i thought it was cool. I tried to get a picture but it is still to small. I just can't believe my little Faylee has a tooth and can get where ever she wants just in a funny way.

Cold & Snow

It has been snowing since yesterday. I thought that it was time to put the snow boots away and pull out the rain boots. I guess I was wrong. With the change of the weather has also brought Faylee's first ear infection. Man is it a big one. Both ears and moving to the throat. Thomas, Thor and Wayne are also sick. There's is just a viral thing. It will go away soon. I hope.

The Joys of Web Cams

Last night was Jessica's Birthday Party in Idaho. We got to be a part of it. We talked with the family and watched her blow out her candles. The boys loved seeing all of our family. Well Thomas mostly loved it. It was so much fun and is so nice when we can see the family. The only problem is now Thomas wants to go to the other canada where gubba lives. He gets confused. anyway. The other problem is if they can't talk as long as he wants. This morning we were talking to Ashley and She had to leave and Thomas started crying because he wanted to talk to her still. I can't wait until we can go visit again.

Well Faylee is 6 month old Today. I can't believe that it has flown by so fast. She loves to smile and has a wonderful personality. She still likes to cuddle with mom and loves her doll and care bear. Thor is still her protector. Thomas likes to pick out her clothes (and head bands).
Her other favorite thing to do is suck her toes.

The other fun thing she does is Growl like a bear. I think her nickname might become teddy bear
Also I think she is about to start teething. she is chewing on everything and a bit more drool.

No More Stitches

Today was my post-op appointment. It was time to get ride of my club.That is what everyone was calling my thumb. I had a layer of gauze then a plaster like stuff then more gauze then the ace wrap. It was quite the "club". Once all that was off. this is what it looked like. Kinda gross huh!!

Well I now have Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy and Sensory Therapy to go to. I have more feeling and the Surgeon also made my scar look much nicer. it is now a jagged T. well kinda. anyway I am so glad that she spent time to fix the scar.

Wayne bought me some wonderful tulips as a surprise. And they were two toned just like my favorite roses. anyway it was so sweet that he thought of me while he was grocery shopping. He does all the time but usually it is chocolate. anyway the point to my thought. Thomas and Thor loved smelling them and I got a wonderful picture.

Hand Update

Surgery went well. They found both ends of the nerve.Which means two weeks in a hard plaster splint. Not much pain yet but we will see how the day goes i was pretty out of it for a long while. but woke up this morning with a clear head which is nice well i will have wayne help me type more later.

Baby Food

I have always admired mothers who make their own baby food. I decided that with Faylee I was going to try it. Also it has been proven to save money especially here in Canada. There was a sale on frozen veggies so... I made, carrots, sweet potatoes, green beans, and peas & carrots mix. I have fresh pears and to my surprise a good first baby food is avocados. they say to freeze them in slices. She loves the carrots and Sweet potatoes but not the applesauce. I can't believe she is already that big. She definitely loves her food.

Surgery

My Hand Story

On January 29th I was washing dishes and I cut my hand. I was washing a glass and a sliver broke off while I was washing it. Thank goodness Wayne was home. One of the boys' favorite babysitters ran over to watch the kids and we ran to emergency. I waited 1 1/2 hours to be put in a room then another 30 min. before someone saw me then they decided that It was pretty bad and needed to be taken care of asap. I was washed up and then stitched. It was hard to get the bleeding to stop.

I took this picture after about a week with the stitches when i changed the bandages.

I got to wear a splint for 3 weeks. I couldn't drive, lift, get it wet or take it off. How does that happen with three children. Very carefully and with a great husband and wonderful ward. I was never alone with the children and luckily it was Wayne's week off. Once Wayne went back to work I got to meet many of the women in the ward. That part was awesome. The stitches came out after 3 weeks and then I have a new splint that I can do a lot more things with. I have no feeling in my thumb and so I have surgery next week. then i will have a hard cast for 2 weeks. I am so lucky i have an amazing ward who love my children and family.

Sleep Eating

Is that even Possible???? Thomas has figured it out. When Craig was here we went swimming at the West Edmonton Mall. Afterwords we decided to have lunch before heading home. Thomas was so tired we ended up with a very grouchy boy. Craig got the brunt of it but watch it, this is hilarious.

It has been over a month since I have blogged. Why? A two week visit from Craig. Then my computer got a bad virus and then I had 13 stitches in my hand. More about each of these to come but it may take some time to catch up. I hope all are doing well. Over all we are ok. We are going through some rough spots but we will be alright. Craig came to visit us and we have been having a blast. We went to the West Ed Mall and then we were give two tickets to an Oilers game. It was a lot of fun to go watch. Craig is not much of a sports fan so he let Wayne and I go. The boys have been begging to play in the snow so I think that today is that adventure.

I went to Idaho for three weeks and I left my memory card to my camera their. I am trying to find some pics so that I can put some pics on. We had a blast. The boys loved riding in the tractor with gubba. We spent time with grandma and grandpa Harrison we would not be here without them. we owe them a lot and decided to spend some time with them. Craig, me and the kids went to Utah for a weekend to see Kayte and also Wayne's grandma. We also spent time in twin with Heather and Rhonda.

Canadian Thanksgiving is in October. It was so weird having dinner with Halloween decorations up. Wayne cooked the Turkey and I used my crystal dishes. it was fun. It sure wasn't the same though. I missed grandma's turkey and noodle and raspberry cream pie.

New Beds

The new house is only a 2 bedroom so we decided the boys needed to have new beds. thomas is in a loft bed and thor is in the toddler bed under Thomas'. Dad had lots of fun building it.

Kinder Family Update

Wow today has been some massive blogging!!! I love it when I take the time to update my family. Here are a few things that have happened the past month.

Daddy and Thomas love to color together. Wayne loves his time with his boys. He enjoys reading to Thor and just holding Faylee when he gets home from work.

Thor is a peanut butter fanatic. If you ask him what he wants to eat his response is butter. Meaning peanut butter. I love his smile.

My Friend gave me a bunch of beautiful girl clothes this is one of my favorite dresses. I am so glad that she can already fit it.

Faylee's eyes opened it is a rare occurrence. She likes to lay on the floor and is already scooting a bit. It is more as she struggles and cries she moves.I can't really explain it.

Ashley gave Faylee this outfit. I think it is so cutie.

Dad has obviously gotten over his aversion to hair bows and head bands. If he dresses her he never puts one on her but at least he doesn't take them off her anymore.

Ashley's quilt is off the frames. not quite finished but it will be soon.

Last but not least. We're moving!! Our Landlords sold the house so we get to move. We will be keeping our Penhold mailing address. BOX 790 Penhold, AB T0M 1R0

I can't believe it's been this long. Time has flown by. This was taken at 1 month she still likes to sleep a lot. Day and thankfully a 6 hour stretch at night. She wakes in the evening. She likes to hang out with daddy. Our house is very dark in the evening so I don't have many pictures with her eyes open.

Faylee's Blessing

Faylee was blessed in the Innisfail, Alberta Ward on Saturday, September 6th. We had the great honor of having all our (Wayne & I) siblings in attendance for most of the event. Josh and Tom had to stay in Idaho for work reasons. We are greatful they allowed their wives and children to travel to Idaho to support us. Thank you both. The Bishop made the day very special We invited the spirit to blessing with an opening song and prayer. I haven't heard my mom play the piano for a long time it was very special for me to have her play. The Bishop took a few minutes to talk about how special father's blessings are. We continued on to the blessing. Standing in was Dad (Wayne), Bishop himmelreich, Grandpa Helms, Grandpa Kinder, Uncle Gubba (Craig), Uncle Gary, Great Uncle Roger. The Bishop then allowed the family time to bear their testimonies and give advice to Faylee. Faylee is so blessed to have all the love and support. The Spirit was so Beautiful. I am very greatful to our bishop for his always wonderful guidence.

Ok I Know that everyone has heard about the Twilight Saga. Here is a new development from our house. Wayne is reading them. I asked him why because he laughed at me when I was reading them when I would get so excited and couldn't stop. He said that he started it to see what it was about and now he can't stop he likes it. It was kinda funny but I think that it is very sweet of him to read something so we can talk about it together.

Sunday Dresses

I remember all the Sunday Dresses we had growing up and was so excited that we (yes dad included) had to go find a dress. we went to the second hand store and found this for $3!!! Dad doesn't like the headband. I had to be sneaky to get the one photo with it on.

Wow! what a great family I have. The boys are already Faylee's protector and they both love to help. She is already much different then her brothers. We are having a lot of fun and excitement around the house.

We pulled out the slip n slide for the first time and this is what happened. Thomas isn't much of a fan but Thor is beginning to like it. Wayne of course is a kid at heart so he loves it.

Mommies Birthday

For my birthday Wayne spoiled me. He got me a Nintendo DS and Brain Age. He thought that I would like it because I played with Candice's when she was here. I don't know if i would bye one for myself but I have enjoyed it a lot. (Wayne also bought Guitar Hero for the DS so he plays it also) We have a lot of fun with it. Also Wayne got me this bouquet from Edible Arrangements. It was fun to get and the boys loved eating it with dinner and snack and every other time they wanted something to eat.

Thomas' Horse

We went camping and there was a petting zoo and they can ride the horses. While Thomas was waiting his turn he was feeding and petting all the horses. I was just filming him petting the horse when he surprised us. I have no idea where he got his love of Horses.

This video is of Thor watching the big horses while we wait for Thomas to get back from his ride and then the end of Thomas' Ride on Roger. When he tells you about riding the horse it sounds like he says Dodger.

Moonwalkers

Moonwalkers is a fun center to that even adults can play in. Candice had a blast taking the boys and climbing through the tunnels. It is like a giant mcdonalds play place with an arcade.

Thor loves the slides and tunnels. He was running crazy and candice was tired after about 30 minutes.

These pictures are from the 3 and under only section. The boys kept going back the the fire truck and they loved the teater totter.

Wayne's Birthday

Wayne turned 27 this year. We celebrated by opening presents the going to dinner at Tony Roma's. After that we came home for cake and Ice cream. Wayne had fun and was excited for dinner. The boys gave him National Treasure 2 and I gave him a gift certificate to get a baseball glove.

The Biggest Scare!!!!!!!!

Last night after dinner I had the tub and I was doing a little dinner clean up. I have a sliding glass window to the porch we don't have any window coverings on it because the landlords are going to change it to french doors. Well, when turned around there was a guy standing on the porch. I gasped and stood frozen for a couple of moments the realized it was WAYNE!!! He has known since Wednesday morning that he was coming home. I couldn't believe it. It has been 18 days since I had seen him. It was an awesome surprise he is only home until Tuesday but that is OK. We are all excited.

Pursuit of Excellence Update

March was a little difficult getting into the rutine but in the end I fully accomplished 3 of the 4 mini goals. and read in the Book of Mormon. 50%. Well for this month the theeme is Home Management. Today I thought that I better check up on myself and see how I was doing. To my amazement I already have my 4 mini goals done.

With Wayne being gone I have spent alot of time realxing and doing fun stuff. I called Craig bored one day and was like my house is clean, well not my craft room so he teased me about my house wasn't clean If that room wasn't so I spent the afternoon cleaning that room. In the process I completed two of my goal. ORaganizing all the important papers and spring clean and organize one room. Well the reason that the room was so messy was because I have been sewing a lot. I cut out a pair of PJ's for thomas when he was Thor's size. I finished them this week. I also made Thomas a pair. Well...actually they each got 4 pairs of PJ Pants. I told you I had been sewing a lot. anyway finishing a prodject was one of my goals for the month. This is a picture of the boys showing off their new Nemo PJ's.

I have slacked this month on my Scripture reading. I now have the Book of Mormon on my computer so I can listen while I sew. That has been nice and I am catching up to were my goal is. Ashley's quilt i comming along mavelously. I am hoping to put it on frames by the end of may.

Van Phase 1

Well we made it into the country with the van!!! Well... Part one is done. Thank you to grandma and Grandpa Harrison I never would have made it this far without your help. Next we wait. We have to wait for the paperwork so we can get the inspection done. At least Wayne can drive it without fear of it being taken away!!!

CSI Graduate !!!

After 7 years, 2 kids, 5 surgeries a wedding and everything else I finally have it. Wayne made a promise to dad when he got permission to marry me that I would get my degree, this is only phase one of my schooling but I got this far and can't wait until I can finish all my goals in schooling. Thank you to all those whose supported and helped me I couldn't have done it without you.

A Bit Early

When we first moved into out house in Penhold Wayne was so excited to be able to eat outside on the deck. Not just eat but specifically breakfast. For our anniversary I got Wayne a patio set for the deck. He spent yesterday afternoon putting it together and we sat outside for a bit. He really enjoyed it. This morning i decided to wake up and make him breakfast on the deck. Unfortunately I woke up to about 2 inches of snow on the deck. I guess we will have to wait for that outside breakfast.

Boy or Girl? One or More?

Today was the ultrasound. Thomas' dreams of 3 babies in mommies tummy was solved. There is only one. We knew that by now but he enjoyed giving my tummy 3 kisses each night.

The experience was much different then when we were in Idaho. The ultra sound facility was an imaging center they have 15 ultra sound rooms and the fathers wait in the foyer until after the ultrasound is finished. the technician takes all the measurements then goes to write the report. Then they bring in the fathers for "show and tell" Wayne didn't like that but we figure it is so the men don't ask to many questions during the first part.

The question that we have all been wondering?????
The baby wants to keep it a secret. It was laying on its tummy and the feet were near its head. The technician tried for quite a while to see but never found anything. I guess we will have to wait until the baby is ready to let us know.

Easter Eggs Coloring

Dad was having fun helping the boys get ready for coloring eggs.

Thor thought that all the eggs were balls and we almost lost a few.
The boys had a blast coloring the eggs and dad enjoyed helping for me it was just fun to do something together. We had Hooderite double yolker eggs for some of them they almost didn't fit in the small cups. It made for a fun Saturday morning activity

This weekend we went to Edmonton. There is so much stuff to do there and we only scratched the surface. Check out westedmall.com I can't wait until people can come to visit and you can all experience it. We didn't do much mostly looking but it will be awesome when everyone can come and join us.

Potty Training Day #2

Well I think we are successful In our potty training. We only had one accident. Thomas is having fun with his big boy pants. I am tired and ready for him to be more independent at it. I think that all will go good though.

Potty Training Day 1

We have tried to potty train Thomas a few times the last 6 months. However mom has never maid it a priority. With baby #3 on the way it must be done. Today I made it my #1 goal. For the morning Thor was playing in his room happily for most of the time and I concentrated on Thomas. I would keep his sippy cup full of water juice whatever he wanted. He would drink the whole thing in about 20 minuets. So he would go potty every 20 minuets. That was a little tiring. after he got the routine of going potty I slowed the fluids. This has realy worked. We has 11 successful "pee pee's in the potty." only 2 accidents and 2 dribbles!!! Check back tomorrow for his further success.

Sleepy Head

I went downstairs to check on Thomas and give him a 15 min warning for bed. This is how I found him. He unfortunatly has fallen off the couch when he has done this. I had to snag a picture though.

Ashley's Quilt

Well Ashley's Quilt is going much faster than had planned. Yesterday when I was shopping I found a sale on Quilting fabric. 70% off!!! I got the final pieces. The orange in the bottom left has some yellow and I am not sure how it is going to fit. We will see. I am so excited to get started!!!

Grocery Shopping

With Wayne on the rig and being out of milk, bread, cheese and almost everything else I had to go grocery shopping by myself. Not that I can't do it by myself but It has been a family outing since we moved to Penhold. We go almost every Saturday and it has been fun. However Wayne knows the metric conversions much better than myself. I had to call Ashley to get the pounds conversion. Luckily she had her school planner. I always feel weird asking at the meat counter when it is not in pounds. After being here 5 months I guess it is about time I learn.

Pursuit of Excellence

Our ward has decided to revive an old Relief Society program called Pursuit of Excellence. It is like Personal progress except that it is for only one year. You do for small projects for each themed month and one large project.

I have Chosen two large projects.

1. Ashley's Graduation quilt

sew it together

quilt it

2. Read the book of Mormon.

The theme for march is Family History.

My four projects for this month

1. Start a Journal for each of my children

2. Do better blogging

3. Write down stories of my sibling that are valuable to me.

Give them each copies

4. Scrapbook, Scrapbook, Scrapbook

(I have a friend here that has a cricket!!!)

Hopefully writing all this down will help me to finish these monthly goals. Also I hope that I can get going soon on Ashley's quilt. It will be so much fun.

A sister's scolding

Today when I talked to Heather she wasn't very happy that I have let my blog go by the wayside. I don't write much because I don't things are interesting in my life. Heather said that it could just be like a journal. So, I will try to do better. Thanks Heather for the swift kick in the kaboose.

Thor is king of the bucket? Thomas crawled under the bucket and Thor had fun climbing ontop. Luckily Thomas was patient enough to wait for Thor to climb off before he lifted the bucket.

Thomas was very sad one day when he saw dad take his hockey gear to the rink. Well.... we caved and Thomas now has Hockey skates. Yes, Hockey. If you ask Thomas to get his skates he tells you they are Hockey skates. This was his first atempt at skating he kept moving his feet so much that he can't stand but I think it will come before to long.

Thomas is going to be a bobcat through and through. My bobcat blanket is now Thomas' nap blanket and he is wearing his favorite shirt. I don't know what I will do when he grows out of it.

Family Pizza Night

We have decided to have Family Pizza night about twice a month. We make the pizza dough and while it is rising we have Family Home evening. Thomas loves to make his pizza!!! Wayne is a great help and this is one of his favorite activites as well.

Bubble Bath

Thor loves his bath. The more bubbles the better. Thomas and Thor can no longer take a bath together thanks to the elmo boat. If they do happen to be in the bath together then it is a mess. We can't have the boat in but then Thor cries becasue he wants his boat.

First Snow!!!

The boys went out in the snow. Thor pounds on the door everyday to go outside. Thomas thought that it was cold but in the end didn't want to come in.

Thomas Kept wanting to push me into the snow. This was his face when he would run at me.

This was just before we went in. Thor was watching dad chase Thomas to get him in and wanted to join them.

Our Little House

We were able to find a 3 bedroom house in a small new town in Alberta. The kids in the area play hockey in the streets. The town is building a beautful Hockey rink and rec. center. The sprinkle and splash pool is already finished. (we got here a bit late to enjoy it, but next you can share it with us).

Move to Canada

We moved to Canada on October 4, 2007

We almost didn't fit all of our stuff into the 26' Uhaul!!! It was a two day trip and then we got stuck at the border and we were not allowed to take our van across. We all had to squish into the Uhaul to drive the 40 min. to Wayne's mom's house.
